So I figure it's about time I officially came out and said that the CANDYdisturber project is officially dead; at least for now.
What exactly does that mean? Well, I've been through a lot in the past year or so, and done quite a bit of reflection about where I wanted this to go eventually. It was always just a hobby for me; I never wanted anything big to come from it, and because of that mindset I never pursued a career in music production or really took it seriously. For the past 10 years, I've been making little tunes here and there, and every so often I pushed out something that I was personally proud of. That was enough to keep me invested, but as time went on I became more and more meticulous. Projects took longer, dozens of deadlines missed, and I became increasingly unhappy with the projects I was working on.
At this point, I've probably scrapped around 50 complete songs that I'll never release because I'm just not happy with how they turned out, and no amount of tweaking/fixing can make them any better with my current skillset. I hit a point where I felt like I just wasn't improving at all, and there was a period where I was sure that I was actually getting much, much worse at producing music. It just wasn't making me happy anymore. I tried dabbling in a few other creative areas like animation and game production, but I just couldn't find that same passion that I once had.
With all that said, I've decided to leave behind CANDYdisturber and move forward. I've learned so much and made so many friends under that alias, but it's just not who I am anymore; it's time for the next step in my life. Thanks to everyone for all the support (and hate) that I've gotten over the years. This has been such a large part of my life, and it's been hard to finally admit that I need to let it go.
Here's to new endeavors and opportunities,
-Bo

That sucks honestly. I discovered your music pretty late ( over a year ago ), but I honestly love it. Drift is my favorite song. I'm still following just in case you ever decide to post more songs. Good luck man.
