You've gotten a hell of a lot better since the last time we chatted :D

Awesome bro; keepidup!

Norato responds:

Thanks man ;)

Really nice man! Very liquid-y and total room filler ^_^

Gets a little repetitive, but that's ok since it's so short; the bass could a bit better of a mix but very well done overall.

alanisnotcool responds:

Thank you! that means alot coming from a talented artist such as yourself =) I agree with your feedback

Love it at 1:33; very alive and well put together. That sidechained bass is pretty sweet too, and the percussion definitely compliments it.

Solid builds, nicely tuned kick and pretty good intro. One thing I'd have to leave of bit of complaining to is the harshness of the lead; not only is it a wee bit too loud, but it also sounds a little wonkey in comparison to the rest of the sounds. It's not really a huge issue until 2:48, where the other melody-type thing kicks in; that's where they kind of work against each other and it breaks the clarity and flow of the song a little.

BUT, that's a really nice recovery at 3:38; changed it up and actually surprised me a little :D

TL;DR: Very nice, but the lead needs some work :V

ToxInjection responds:

Yeah, to be honest, I wasn't too sure with the lead either, but at the time that I chose to use it, I had already been surfing for a few hours, looking for a nice sounding lead I could use, and this is the best one (in terms of me seeing if I could use it.) It's definitely more finicky than the other synths.

Yeah, other people mentioned that the harmonies might not have been working out too well. I don't know, I still think they sound alright, but of course, this might be bias talking, so I'll take that into consideration next time (:

And I was hoping it'd catch some people off-guard :D

Dude, I LOVE that vocal drop :D That bass and lead are pretty sick, too.

Tip when using loops: Try to avoid just putting them in the track; one thing I like to do is throw them in slicex so I can mix n' match them to fit my song better; this is especially cool when it comes to fills and builds.

You've gotten a lot better at mixing; still a few sounds that could be tuned and blended a little better but I'm loving to see your progress in this. I think I can safely say (so far) that this is my favorite from you c:

ToxInjection responds:

I'm glad you liked it! I don't know if it's just me, but damn it's hard finding vocal samples that fit your tracks well sometimes. I was just lucky enough to stumble across these ones (:

I might be staying more clear from loops now that I'm getting more familiar with House and I kind of know what I'm doing now. I just used loops because I was scared and clueless as to how to make proper basslines for this genre.

I'd be surprised if this remained your favourite too, because damn I really think that my latest one is MILES ahead of this one. I mean MILES.

Haha, I remember my first song (that I actually claim) being a dubstep-like blurble too; though I have to say this is better than that one. I won't bother telling you whats good and what's not-so-good, because First off: the guys below me hit it pretty spot on, and Second off: This is about a year old now, isn't it? I'm sure you've learned a lot since then, judging by your other submissions.

ToxInjection responds:

Man, you really are going through my old stuff. I feel loved <3

Yeah, a year old almost to the day. I've learned a LOT since I made this track, and god do I know how I could improve this. Bass is way too powerful and distorted to hell at some parts. Kick/snare pattern can be varied a whole lot more every now and then. Maybe when another year or two passes, I'll remaster this and make it sound a lot better (:

I'm not sure why people are rated this so harshly; aside from sounding like a little unnatural, it's freakin' gorgeous. Adding a bit more in the lower area would definately boost the tracks fullness for sure though

Going through and listening to some of your other tracks, so pardon reviews on your old stuff :P

ToxInjection responds:

Thanks for the review!

I appreciate you thinkin' that. I never really tried making something more contemporary like this, so yeah, there's a lot I can improve here. To be honest, I made this on a complete whim. I just sort of went "I want to make something peaceful and beautiful, but not electronic. Something you can here in some kind of obscure RPG or something." And so, I attempted this.

And by all means, go ahead and do that! I always appreciate people who take time out to review my stuff. It really means a lot (:

Not bad, man ^_^

Some of the sounds overpower the rest a little, like the bell. If that was tuned down a little bit it'd help the mix quite a bit. I like a lot of it though; very catchy. Not sure what that is at 1:40; cool sound but it's a bit out of place. That bell melody is beautiful though. Keep it up!

PS: The guy below me knows what he's talking about; I'd agree with just about everything he mentioned. What he's explaining is EQ'ing; an essential to mastering your track.

dvaiskila responds:

I consider this very helpful :)
Thanks for the advice. I know my work is always missing something... I need to look more into EQ'ing
Thanks :)

Pretty good man; I like it :D especially after the beat really starts to kick in after the first minute and a half. Love most of the sounds, and the mix is very well done.

The only thing I can say about this that it's pretty repetitive. Starting to sound very professional, man. Keep it up ^_^

Nice! gotta love classical :3

Calamaistr responds:

thanks

nice; I like how bouncy it is :D

The kick is a little harsh; sounds a little too much like a sample that was just turned up and the song itself sounds like it was thrown through dblue glitch and bitcrusher, which made some very nice sounds in some areas, but became a little annoying after a while.

aside from those two things, pretty damn solid; love the sound that kicks in at around :30; very full and juicy!

UnknownToTheKnown responds:

Cheers mate.

Funnily enough i went lazy with the Kick and used a ready made Kick that came with the DAW. I was focusing more on the other sounds - not the Bassdrum so it's interesting you picked up on it. However, I did and a 40Khz cut to it so It was a lot more sub bassy and muddy i suppose.

Gotta love DBlueGlitch - but I agree I think I overdose on it quite a lot. Will keep that in mind.

Thanks for the review!

It was a hobby.
